 Bio:
After the birth of her son, Lisa Fernandez went back as a coaching staff last 2007. She played the two summers competitively for the launch tour of the PFX. Lisa is belongs to one of the five famous softball players to be part of the 1996 US Olympics gold-medal team. Lisa was the apex pitcher and hitter during the said softball tournament and then also lead the US team to a three time gold medal earner consecutively in the 2004 Athens summer Olympics where she garnered a batting average of .545 which gained her a new world record.

At the event of the USA Softball’s US to Australia tour, Lisa pitched perfect games of five, and in one of those perfect games Lisa struck out every single batter (21 all in all). During the 200 games, Lisa registered 52 strikeouts with a 0.47 ERA

Being one of the most famous softball players around, she was named the USA Softball Athlete of the Year in 1999 by the Amateur Softball Association. By taking on the role as a baseman and pitcher, Fernandez was part of the Women’s National Team of USA Softball that took home gold medals and trophies at the Canada Cup and Pan American Games.

In the totality of her softball playing career, Lisa registered 784 strikeouts, 0.22 ERA and a 93-7 record all in all. Her registered ERA was only NCAA history’s second placer while the 74 shutouts she made were the majority in the UCLA which ranked ninth in NCAA history. Fernandez also had 11 no hitter career during the College World Series, yet has also has a pair of perfect games.

Her power also shined on the plate consisting of fifteen home runs and one hundred twenty-eight runs that she batted in while compiling a .382 batting record. No wonder she is one of the most famous softball players today…Lisa Fernandez belongs to the top ten in the history of the UCLA in various and numerous offensive categories such as the fourth in softball strikeouts and fifth in batting average.

Lisa Fernandez being one of the most famous softball players around became the eight softball member of the UCLA to be part of the Athletics Hall of Fame of the UCLA.
